Club Team Registration
Information
This will be on a 1st Come-1st Served basis so if the option
you choose is already full you may be placed on a different team. The teams and currently registered players are listed on the
website (www.tbays.org) and can be found by selecting ‘club’ from the main
menu and then clicking on the ‘Rosters’ button. We strongly suggest that you
register for a team even if you are planning to try out for a select team.
That way you will have a spot reserved on your favorite team in the event
that you do not make select.
We must have payment at the time of registration in order to hold your place
on the team. Please don’t submit registrations without payment as this
creates confusion and sometimes results in players thinking they are
registered when they are not.
What is NMSA?
The NMSA (Northern Michigan Soccer Alliance) league is made up of teams from Petoskey, Cheyboygan, Gaylord,
Grayling, Alpena and other Northern Michigan cities. The team will probably
only play in home tournaments.
NMSA teams can expect to play 2-3 weekends on home fields
during each season. The remainder of the season will be away games.
How Do I Get the Team I Want?
Teams will be formed in each age group on a 1st come-1st served basis. The
first 18 kids (22 kids for U17 and up) to sign up for a team will form that
team. Kids who sign up later will go on a wait list. If there are enough
kids to form additional teams, we’ll do so. We will probably combine age
groups (eg U13/14 or U14/15) in order to provide as many players as possible
with the type of team they prefer to play with. If you want to play with
specific other players please include that in the comments area of your
registration. Teams rosters are listed online if you want to check and see
who’s already registered.
How Do I Get the Coach I Want?
When a coach volunteers his name will be added to the website and you can
register for his team. In cases where teams are forming without coaches, the
Director of Coaches will assign a coach to the team.
What If I Want to Try Out for a Select Team?
TBAYS would encourage you to register and indicate your team choice as early
as possible. You will then be rostered on the team of your choice. Should
you make the select team, your spot on the other team will go to the next
person on the waitlist. If you don’t register early, you may not have an
option to play with your preferred team if you don’t make the select team.
It is TBAYS intention to provide our players with more choices and more
opportunities to play soccer the way THEY want to play. If you have any
