The purpose of the TBAYS Scholarship fund is to provide financial aid to TBAYS players to help cover the cost of registration fees.

The funds will be managed in the following manner:

·        The Scholarship funds are to be kept in a special purpose fund of TBAYS.

·        No funds will be distributed directly to the player, but will be transferred to the proper account to offset the player’s fees.

·        A minimum of $100.00 will always remain in the account.

·        Funds may be distributed at anytime during the fall and spring seasons.

·        Members may donate their TBAYS volunteer time ($25.00) to the fund in lieu of taking their $25 registration deduction.  These dollars would go directly into the scholarship fund.

The player must meet the following criteria in order to be awarded financial aid:

·        The Scholarship Fund application must be completed and submitted along with a copy of the 1st page of your most recent tax return.

·        The determination for need will be obtained by taking the Federal Poverty Level, by family size, and using a multiplier of up to 200% to determine the amount of assistance.

Awards:

All scholarship awards will be selected by the TBAYS financial committee.  All applications will be reviewed within 30 days of being submitted.
